Energypoint is an independent editorial publication on green energy for business in Uruguay and Panama. It reads the electricity matrix, distributed-generation rules, building efficiency and the mechanisms for buying clean power, and explains what they mean for a company, a commercial owner and an investor. It does not sell panels, certificates or advisory services: it analyses.
An anonymous newsroom by design
These texts are written by the editorial desk in the third person, under the byline Energypoint Editorial. They rest on no personal name or spokesperson: the authority of what is published lies in the method and in named sources with a date, not in one person’s reputation. Every figure for capacity, renewable share or price traces to a regulator, a grid operator or an official statistics source, and states the date it refers to.
Authority by source, not by signature
For Uruguay, the publication draws on the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM), the state utility UTE, the Electricity Market Administration (ADME) and the energy and water regulator (URSEA). For Panama, on the National Energy Secretariat, the public-services authority (ASEP) and the electricity transmission company (ETESA). Each country’s data is labelled as such: what holds in Montevideo is not carried over unexamined to Panama City, or the other way round.
Scope: energy only
The scope of energypoint.ltd is energy and nothing else: renewable energy, solar generation for business, energy efficiency in commercial buildings, and clean-power procurement models (green hydrogen, data centres, PPAs and guarantees of origin). It covers two markets —a Uruguayan matrix that is more than 90 % renewable and a Panamanian transition in full solar expansion— in Spanish and English.
