This page explains how Energypoint prepares its analysis of green energy for business in Uruguay and Panama. The principle is simple: authority is not signed by a person, it is carried by method. That is why every text is verifiable from its sources.
Every figure traces to a dated source
Each figure for installed capacity, renewable share or price on the site traces to a regulator, a grid operator or an official statistics source, and states the date it refers to. For Uruguay that means MIEM, UTE, ADME and URSEA; for Panama, the National Energy Secretariat, ASEP and ETESA. A figure with no identifiable origin is not published: where there is reasonable doubt about where a number came from, the desk would rather leave it out than circulate it unsupported.
Each fact is labelled by country
The domain covers two markets with different rules, so every fact is marked as Uruguay (UY) or Panama (PA). The Uruguayan matrix, more than 90 % renewable in generation, and the Panamanian matrix, hydro-heavy with a young, fast-growing solar segment, are not blended. Nor are two quantities often quoted as if they were one: installed capacity and generation (energy actually produced) are different things and are identified as such.
Divergent figures are shown, not averaged
When two reliable sources give different numbers —say, a renewable share for one year versus another for hydrological reasons, or two self-consumption readings with different cut-off dates— the publication shows both with their date and source, and does not average them. A record monthly figure is never presented as an annual average. Marking the period is part of telling the truth.
Images and corrections
Some illustrations on this site may be generated or edited with artificial intelligence; where that is the case, they are not presented as documentary photographs of real installations. Numerical data never comes from an image. If a reader spots a factual error, they can write to the desk through the contact form: corrections are made on the text itself, noting the date of the amendment when the change is substantive.
